Hey y'all! I knew it had been a while since I checked in with a blog but ooh wee! Here are a few pictures from this year so far . . . I am a little late on a blog post for this - but it's definitely worth mentioning because it's so cool! One of our pieces was featured on a design show filmed in Charlotte! The show is called Artfully Designed on the Magnolia Network - (our piece was in episode 1 of season 2 - designers are Natalie Papier, Racheal Jackson, and Frankie Zombie). The credenza just happened to be one of the few things that we paint. It was painted gray when we found it and planned to restore it back to its original wood finish. But we found some BIG surprises under the gray paint that led us to a paint restoration. We chose this really unique neutral called Almond - it really picked up whatever light it was in. It was really cool!
The room that they designed was really unique and it was fun watching how they incorporated our midcentury modern piece! Go stream the show on Discovery Plus - it's definitely worth a watch! - A Hey y'all! We have exciting news! We have decided to move majority of our inventory pieces back under 1 roof - 112 S Main St, Huntersville NC! Having a space in Slate Interiors was so much fun (and really helped us continue to have a showroom space while Main Street was closed for road work) but is a lot to maintain with our Huntersville showroom and customer restoration jobs. We will still have a few pieces floating at Slate but will not have a designated space there. We will continue to offer local delivery and long distance shipping on all of our pieces! This pivot will allow Nick and I to focus more time on restoration jobs for clients and have more time to go picking for more fabulous inventory. We are only 2 people & there is only so much time in a day so we have to work smart! We will also be extending our Saturday showroom hours to 10am-3pm and will be available for more appointments during the week at our Huntersville store. So come see us & our showroom full of restored midcentury treasures!
- A We have been working hard this week to get our Huntersville store cleaned & organized! As we went through the furniture we had in storage we found some pieces to offer in an as-found sale - see them on our inventory page. Get a good little deal and DIY restoration or use them as is! Here are some pictures of the back of our store - I hardly ever share pictures of back there but LOOK how organized and beautiful!! We have also moved all of our Fos Finds vintage clothes to 112 S Main St and will have some of them on display for purchase! Stay tuned for more!
- A Hey y'all! Here are a few showroom pictures from the last couple months! It is always changing - new pieces in and out! Be sure to sign up for our weekly newsletter to stay up to date! - A Hey y'all! Last month was Nick's 10 year furniture refinishing anniversary! These photos popped up on his phone's memories and I wanted to share them. So cool to see the first few pieces he ever worked on in progress! We have learned and changed so much over the years! - A Hey! 112 S Main St, Huntersville NC 28078 will be OPEN SAT Feb 18th 10am-3pm! We have a road & sidewalk at our Huntersville store! (I have announced this on social media but just in case you only follow along on here - I felt the need to follow up my last blog post!) Random shots from the past few months! We scooted over at Slate to a space with more natural light! Wood grain loves natural light - and we can add plants. That makes me happy! Slate is open Tuesday-Saturday 10am-5pm & Sunday 10am-2pm.
- A SO this is what we've been working with at our Huntersville storefront... It has been 3+ months of road work that has severely hindered our ability to use our Huntersville storefront. First there were barricades and major roads completely closed to get to our store, then the roads opened but the barricades stayed blocking all parking in front, and now they have started (finally) tearing up the road and sidewalk directly in front of our front door. We have heard anywhere from 4-8 weeks for the project to be done. Luckily we have a back door to be open by appointment for restoration customers but it has pretty much made it impossible for us to have the showroom open (please visit Slate Interiors to check out our inventory!). So if you need something refinished or repaired we are still taking restoration jobs - just email for a quote! We are excited to have a freshly paved road and sidewalk - so that's a plus. BUT this has been a bit of a mess for a small business (any business really - you kind of need to be able to use your front door)! This is what the inside of the Huntersville showroom looks like right now - lots of projects! Some will be heading to Slate Interiors after we refinish them and some belong to customers and will be brought back to life!

- A We have officially moved into Slate Interiors and they are open! 2025 Thrift Road, Charlotte, NC 28208 From now on all of our available inventory will be available at Slate Interiors. Our Huntersville location will be open by appointment and used for customer restoration pickup & drop-off only!
