All of our clients - whether they are getting a piece refinished by us or buying a piece from our inventory - have a house that needs ART! My mom encouraged me to pick up a paint brush when I was really little - bought me canvases to practice on and I have loved it ever since! It is a great way for me to get my mind off of stress and create something beautiful at the same time. If you have been to our store you may have noticed the art on the walls - it's all by me! I have gotten a few requests for custom pieces and I LOVE that - so I have decided to add this to our offerings. The most recent one being 8x5 feet! YES sign me up! These skateboard pieces are some of my favorites that I have ever done! They were all skated / broken by our own Nick Fos years ago and I held onto them (or hoarded - ya know - whatever) until I got my inspiration! I believe art should be fun and affordable! Let's face it - we aren't Jay Z buying a Basquiat orig and while I LOVE and admire Basquiat - normal people don't want to spend an arm & a leg - or sell their first born child for some art that speaks to them. I love creating and I love when people appreciate my art - it's a really rewarding feeling that I can't quite describe! I have also been working on fiber art pieces - they are a great way to add a different texture to your walls! The dip dyed look is really cool! It adds a little contrast to the piece and they can be dipped in any color for a pop to your room! A wide piece would look great over a sofa or bed! (Totally up for custom orders on these too!) I have listed current offerings on our NEW & beautiful "Accessories" page! www.fosrestorationco.com/accessories

In honor of our 2 year wedding anniversary. . . I'm gonna share a little about our Vegas wedding 02/13/16! SO this is not a furniture related post - don't continue reading if you hate really fun stuff. We were planning a trip to Vegas with 4 of our closest friends & decided why not get married while we're there?! We were engaged and the thought of planning a big traditional wedding scared the crap out of me. After talking to our families about it and making sure they were good with it - it was a GO! When we got to Vegas we explored. . . We saw some really pretty stuff - I loved going through all the hotels and seeing the extravagant decor (I think everything was decorated for the Year of the Monkey while we were there). Chewy was walking around! We went on a really HUGE Ferris wheel (The High Roller) and saw the skyline, went to the "old Vegas strip", ate lots of good food - my favorite of which being the breakfast buffet at the MGM! The Marriage License Bureau was amazing - we were in and out SO FAST. I hired a photographer that I found online before the trip for the day of our wedding ceremony - he was SO nice. He drove us & our wedding party around for a few hours and we hit some really cool places for pictures - including the famous Las Vegas sign, Caesar's Palace, The Four Seasons, The Venetian, and more! The BEST part of all this - we find out after the fact that this photographer was totally sneaking us into everywhere. Apparently we weren't allowed to be a bunch of places that we were set up and posing in. He even parked in the back of a few places. We assumed it was more of a VIP thing - like he knew what he was doing - NO - he was sneaking. FANTASTIC. How cute! We probably weren't supposed to be posing at these spots either. . . LOVE IT! AND here we are! The actual wedding ceremony at Graceland Wedding Chapel. It was so fun and easy - I was walked down the aisle by The King, ELVIS (he was a really good Elvis too)! The ceremony was surprisingly serious which we really did appreciate - especially having it recorded and able to look back at. We went to eat a fancy dinner at In-N-Out right after since we don't have those on the east coast. Everyone was wondering what the heck was going on with us being there all dressed up. It was great - and delicious.
It was such a good time and we have so many great memories from the trip. We had a reception for family and close friends a little while after we got back from Vegas and it was great too - we got to celebrate 2 times! I can't believe it has been 2 years already. Here's to many more! -A These beautiful images all came from the same home in the Lansdowne neighborhood of Charlotte. Our client has been working on a remodel of his Midcentury Modern home. It is looking SO GOOD. Can I just say - their tile choices are ON POINT. We delivered a few pieces a couple weeks ago - the round frame was previously a table top that our client wanted to turn into a mirror frame. We lacquered it white and refinished the outer edge in a pretty walnut color. The Kipp Stewart Drexel Declaration chest was pre-ordered from our inventory & completely refinished! We added new hardware - the silver "T" handles are perfect! They had us refinish a chest white white lacquer and a rich walnut color for the top and legs. Their lighting everywhere is FAB. I can't wait to see everything when it is complete! We have been working on some pieces from our pre-order inventory! I know these pieces can look rough so i LOVE it when our clients are able to see the potential and trust that we can bring them back to life. Stay tuned for after pics! I LOVE a good before & after! This walnut chair was one of our pieces sold through inventory and the teak dresser was a customer owned piece that we completely refinished.
