This past week flew by - our weekly wrap up is coming a little late . . . We started last week like many other people - watching the Eclipse. At least our little watching station at the workshop was amazing. The shadows were pretty cool! This Lane Acclaim boomerang coffee table was refinished and is available for purchase! It was pretty rough when we got it but you would never know that now! We love the dovetails on Lane Acclaim pieces and have worked on / had a lot in our inventory - BUT we have never seen this boomerang table in person. It is AMAZING! We found these Kipp Stewart for Directional & they didn't last long before they were scooped up! Their fragile cane backs were in such great shape - they're survivors. They must not have been in a house with kids poking their arms through them (we've seen it happen... we once delivered a coffee table to a home and their kid immediately started using it as a "surfboard". That's fine. Do ya thing little one.) This amazing rug was packed up to go to it's new home in Columbia SC! I love packing rugs to be shipped - I just think they look really cute in their boxes all tied up and ready to go. We have a lot of cool inventory available for purchase! Check it out!
I hope you have a great week & thank you for reading! -A

This week we delivered a Broyhill dining set and a Lane coffee table! These chairs were ROUGH before Nick got his hands on them! All of their joints were glued up, they were sanded down, stained, and multiple clear coats were applied. I love the veneer on the coffee table! We delivered this table - it was our client's grandmas and was handed down to her. She teared up when we unwrapped it. Which made me tear up... I love when people have that reaction to their refinished pieces! It is really amazing how many memories a piece of furniture can hold. She said that her grandmother was always so proud of the table - she took such great care of it & was really excited that her granddaughter wanted to use it when she moved to a retirement home. Our client said she "traded" her a breakfast set for her new place. Their house is so cute - I had to ask to take a picture. Storybook status! Oh and on top of that - it's on Lake Norman so it has a killer view too! We worked on some things at the workshop for our inventory and brought out a beautiful Selig lounge chair that is now available for purchase (details on our inventory page)! There's a ton of stuff in the store available for pre-order! Stop by (we are open Sat 10-3) and see!! We picked up some new inventory to touch up and it will be available soon for purchase! There were a few upholstery supplies that we had to pick up in the Jeep - it was fine. Totally safe. We delivered this dining set and bookshelf! I love these chairs - they aren't mid century but they are really cool! Their high backs are so funky! The table belonged to our client's grandpa & she rescued it from his house after he passed away. It was left in outside storage for years and we were able to bring it back to life! The bookshelf was painted yellow - and red underneath that! It looks so pretty now! It belonged to our client's father and he was the one who painted the yellow coat on it. (Oh and if you need your dining chairs re-covered we are really good at it - $30 each :) plus whatever fabric you want on them!) Nick refinished this Drexel dresser & pair of nightstands for a customer this week - she pre-ordered them from our inventory - and they will be picked up this weekend. The wood grain on both of these pieces is insane! LOVE! And these little white knobs are you kidding me...
Let us know if you have any questions about pieces - and if you have any you want us to refinish for you! I hope you enjoyed reading about our week - it was a busy one! -A I want to start doing a little weekly wrap up - to give y'all a better idea of what we get into during the week. This past week we worked on (complete repairs and refinish on everything) 12 Broyhill dining chairs (of course that made for some fantastic pictures...), a Broyhill Emphasis dining table, a Broyhill Brasilia dining table, a Broyhill Emphasis triple dresser, a set of Kai Christiansen nesting tables (gotta keep these - they form a little box are you kidding me), a Lane Acclaim end table... and a few other things sprinkled in between all that. WOW! One set of 6 chairs was for another local store that buys and sells vintage furniture (along with the Brasilia dining table) - and the other set was pre-ordered from our store inventory by a lovely pair of customers! The Emphasis dining table that we delivered to our customers - along with one set of the above chairs looked so great in their space! Their house was built in the 1960s and the set fits perfectly in their dining area. They have tons of natural light and tall ceilings with exposed beams. We love going on deliveries & seeing customers light up when their furniture is brought in & unwrapped (they were pumped)! The Emphasis triple dresser didn't quite make it out of the workshop and into the store before a customer called looking for something just this size! They purchased it before I got pictures on the website or got it listed anywhere for sale. It is beautiful! They will be using it as a bathroom vanity in their new mid mod house (they are in the process of renovating). I can't wait to share pictures when they get done re-purposing it! These are the Kai Christiansen nesting tables that we fell in love with. They came home with us (YAY)!
I hope you enjoyed reading a little about what we have been up to! -A |
